Luxury Cars 2012 in Frankfurt Motor Show: Bentley’s Continental GTC 2012 – Latest Priced & reviews of Bentley’s Continental GTC 2012: The convertible version of the updated Continental GT luxury coupe was Bentley’s main attraction at the 64th Frankfurt Motor Show. The heavily refreshed Continental GTC is naturally based on its fixed-roof sibling, with its lines being more sculpted than the outgoing model and the front featuring a new grille and headlights.

The new Continental GTC is powered by the same 575 HP, 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter W12 as the coupe, while an updated four-wheel drive system sends more power to the rear axle than the front (40:60) instead of the previous version’s 50:50 split.

Performance is more than adequate with the GTC accelerating from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.8 seconds and reaching a top speed of 314 km/h (195 mph).

In the cabin, Bentley’s open-top model gets a revised dashboard with a brand-new instrument panel and a touch-screen multimedia system in the center console. The British luxury maker also claims to have improved rear space simply by redesigning the front seats.

Sales of the 2012 Bentley Continental GTC will begin at the end of the year, with a starting price of US$212,800 (€153,400) .

Bentley Continental GT Ultrasports 702 2010: Being the fastest and most powerful Bentley in the firm’s 90-year history, you would think that tuning biz would skip on the 621HP Continental Supersports. Think again. The German tuning specialist “Wheelsandmore” (talk about a straightforward name…) has just revealed a new package with performance mods for the British GT.

By modifying the vehicle’s ECU and adding a sport exhaust system and a new sport catalyst, Wheelsandmore was able to up output to 702HP and 650 lb-ft of torque. As a result top speed is also by 5 mph, so this Bentley won’t stop until it hits 209 mph or 336 km/h.

Other performance enhancements include lightweight three-piece 21-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres and massive carbon-ceramic brakes. A new electronic lowering kit finish off the package

Bentley Mulsane Limousine 2010: Bentley’s new flagship limousine, the Mulsanne, will arrive in the United Kingdom in the Summer of 2010 with a starting price of £220,000 (including taxes and delivery charges), which comes to about US$365,000 or €242,000 with the current exchange rates, the company announced today. Powered by a twin-turbocharged 6¾-litre V8 engine that delivers a hefty 512 horsepower, the luxury Bentley flagship will offer buyers a wide variety of personalization options including a palette of 114 paint colors, 21 carpet colors, nine wood veneers and 24 different interior leather hides to choose from.

Bentley said it has already held more than 1,000 private customer previews of the Mulsanne at the company’s factory in Crewe, England as well as a series of preview events held at dealerships across the UK, Continental Europe and the United States, and that early customer interest exceeds 2010 production targets

“Even at this very early stage, the expression of interest we’ve received easily exceeds our 2010 production targets,” said Stuart McCullough, Member of the Board for Sales & Marketing for Bentley.

“The Mulsanne’s credentials are a pure expression of Bentley design and craftsmanship, and that’s struck a chord with Bentley enthusiasts across the globe as well as many of the potential customers we have welcomed for tours in Crewe this year. We’ve been encouraged by the positive commentary, notably from our American customers as the Mulsanne was privately previewed in seven metro markets across the country.”

Production of the Mulsanne will commence at the firm’s Crewe headquarters in England in the second quarter of 2010 with each example taking about nine weeks to build.
