Cadillac XTS Luxury Sedan 2013 – Latest review & photos of Cadillac XTS Luxury Sedan 2013: The Cadillac-related announcements keep dropping in as after the release of a teaser photo of the firm’s entry-level compact sedan codenamed ATS, GM revealed that we’re also going to see a flagship luxury sedan model added to Cadillac’s range in the Spring of 2012.

We will come to know that model as the Cadillac XTS and it will replace both the current STS and the DTS, the production of which was terminated this year.

General Motors may not have published a teaser photo of its Cadillac range-topper in the sedan category but the Detroit firm said it will be modeled closely after last year’s XTS Platinum concept study adding that the final production model will be revealed in the coming months – obviously either in LA this November or Detroit in January 2012.

The company is highly optimistic for the new XTS claiming it will compete against the best.

“The Cadillac XTS is being designed to compete and win against the finest luxury cars,” GM said in a prepared statement. “It takes a new, modern approach to the large luxury sedan, combining high-tech electronics and engaging driving dynamics in a car that is also elegant and spacious,” the company added.

The new 2013 Cadillac XTS will be manufactured at the Oshawa Assembly Plant in Ontario, Canada, with GM saying it will invest $117 million to prepare the facility and at the same time, “create or retain” 400 jobs on the Flex Line

Latest Prices for 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe Car: General Motors has just revealed pricing for its all-new 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe and its hotted-up CTS-V Coupe sibling that both go on sale in the United States in early August.

The standard CTS Coupe comes with a 3.6L Direct Injection V6 engine that delivers 304-horsepower and is available with a six-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission as well as rear-wheel and all-wheel drive.

Pricing, including destination charges, starts from $38,990 for the RWD model and from $40,890 AWD. That’s a few thousand dollars less than one of its closest competitors, BMW’s 300HP 335i Coupe and xDrive Coupe that start from $42,650 and $44,550 respectively.

Cadillac said that the CTS Coupe will be available in two suspension-tuning levels – ‘Performance‘ with 18-inch wheels and all-season tires and ‘Summer Tire Performance‘ with 19-inch wheels and summer tires.

The Detroit automaker’s M3 chaser, the CTS-V Coupe starts from $62,990 including destination charge, meaning it’s $4,590 more expensive than the less powerful BMW M3 Coupe (414HP V8) that begins from $58,400.

The CTS-V Coupe is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 pumping out 556HP, which propels the 2+2 coupe from 0-60 mph (96km/h) in 3.9 seconds.

• Standard ($38,990 RWD, $40,890 AWD): Six-speed automatic with tap up/down shifting, 18-inch wheels, performance suspension, rear park assist, Bose audio, MP3 input, EZ Key, remote start, power driver and front passenger seats.
• Performance Collection ($43,430 RWD, $45,330 AWD): HID Xenon headlamps, adaptive forward lighting, 10-way power leather seats, Bose 5.1 Surround Sound, USB integration, 40GB hard drive.
• Premium Collection ($47,835 RWD, $49,735 AWD): Interior ambient lighting, rear-view camera, heated/vented front seats, heated steering wheel, wood trim, Bose 5.1 Surround Sound with navigation, sunroof.
• V-Series ($62,990): 6.2L Supercharged V8, paddle shift controls, Brembo brakes, Magnetic Ride Control, 19-inch wheels with performance tires.

New York Show 2010: 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Wagon: Cadillac has officially cranked its CTS Sport Wagon to 11, and it’ll be on-hand at the upcoming New York International Auto Show.
Powered by the CTS-V’s 556-horsepower 6.2 liter LSA and billed as a pre-production show car (kind of like Buick’s Regal GS), the CTS-V Sport Wagon will be previewing what Cadillac expects to have in dealerships before the end of the year.

Painted in Midnight Silver paint cribbed from the Sixteen concept, the show car’s interior will leather/Alcantara-trimmed seats, a leather-trimmed upper dashboard, and Sapele wood trim (from the Sapele tree, which is indigenous to tropical Africa).

Everything else from the CTS-V sedan carries over into the wagon body, which can haul 1,644 liters / 58 cubic feet with the seats down (720 liters / 25.4 cu ft with the seats up).

That includes the two transmission options (6-speed stick/automatic), optional Recaros, Magnetic Ride Control, Brembo brakes, and those stylin’ Holden rims.

Cadillac is quick to point out that what consumers see trim-wise is simply to gauge reaction, meaning if you like the paint and baubles, let ‘em know. I can tell the General right now: More power than Lexus’s LFA with room for kids and the dog? I’m sold.

Production of the Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon is set to start late 2010 at GM’s Lansing, Michigan plant, with initial sales in North America, followed by export markets including Europe and the Middle East.

2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe: This here is the production version of Cadillac’s 2008 CT Coupe Concept that will be revealed at next month’s Los Angeles Auto Show. The first Cadillac coupe in almost two decades features a classic 2+2 seating layout and is slated to arrive in U.S. showrooms in the spring of 2010. The most obvious rivals for the 2011 CTS Coupe are the BMW 3-Series Coupe along with the new Audi A5 Coupe, Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and the Infiniti G37 Coupe.

The coupe has the same wheelbase as the CTS, but an overall height that is approximately two inches (51 mm) lower and an overall length that is two inches (51 mm) shorter.

According to Cadillac, even though the Coupe is based on the CTS sedan, it shares only the instrument panel, console, headlamps, front fenders and grille with four-door model.

At launch, the 2011 CTS Coupe will be offered with GM’s direct injected 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 304 horsepower and offers an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 27 mpg on the highway.

The V6 engine is coupled to a standard 6-speed manual gearbox with an automatic transmission with Driver Shift Control and available steering wheel mounted shift buttons offered as an option. It will also come with rear- or all-wheel drive.

According to a previous announcement from GM, the CTS Coupe V6 will be joined in the near future by a range topping “V” model boasting the same 556-horsepower 6.2-liter supercharged V8 found on the CTS-V Sedan.

The CTS Coupe’s hardware includes an independent short/long arm (SLA) front suspension system, with hydraulic control arm front bushings, and a multi-link rear suspension. Also included are four-wheel disc performance brakes, a limited-slip differential and GM’s electronic chassis control system (StabiliTrak).

There are no pictures of the interior but Cadillac says that features include hand-sewn accents covering the door, center storage console and instrument panel trim as well as several techno goodies such as the 40GB hard drive, pop-up navigation system, rear camera and Bluetooth connectivity.

The option list will include a set of 14-way adjustable Recaro sport seats that were previously exclusively offered on Cadillac’s V-Series model
