Chrysler 300 Luxury Edition 2012 with 3.6-liter V6: Chrysler continues to expand its offerings for the new 300 sedan with the introduction of a new V6 option for the Luxury Edition, which will be available in addition to the range-topping 300C Luxury Series featuring a 363 horsepower 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine.

The 300 Luxury Edition is powered by the regular model’s 292HP 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine matched to a standard eight-speed automatic transmission and the choice of rear- or all-wheel drive.

As with the HEMI-powered Luxury Edition, the V6 model sports a slew of bespoke extras highlighted by the liberal use of leather throughout the interior.

Aside from the Black or two-tone Mochachino seats that are wrapped in Nappa leather and include 12-way power-adjustable front seats with two-mode ventilation and two-mode heated seats for both front and rear passengers, the Luxury model gets the same leather treatment for the dashboard, center console, door panels, armrest and steering wheel.

Furthermore, the interior package includes die-cast paddle shifters, Natural Pore Mocha wood trim in a matte finish, an infotainment and navigation system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, LED-illuminated instrument cluster with driver-selectable colors, power-adjustable steering wheel column and pedals, chrome door sills, dual heated/cooled cup holders, ambient lit foot well lighting, LED illuminated interior door handles and front and rear map pockets plus premium carpeted trunk mat.

On the outside, the Luxury package adds 20-inch polished face (RWD) or 19-inch (AWD) alloy wheels, plus platinum chrome fascia accents, exterior mirror caps and door handle accents.

Both the V6- and V8-powered Chrysler 300 Luxury Series models will go on sale next February.

Toyota Land Cruiser 200 V8 Model 2012 with new price & previews: Toyota has officially revealed a refreshed version of its Land Cruiser 200 or V8 (not to be confused with the smaller Land Cruiser / Prado) in its home market of Japan, with most changes expected to pass on the global variant as well.

On the outside, the 2012 Land Cruiser 200 gains a boxier front bumper with new foglamps, redesigned headlamps with integrated LED strips on the lower side and a revamped front grille with chrome slats.

The new exterior mirrors with turning signals, along with the different tail lamp graphics and newly designed alloy wheels in sizes 18- and 20-in. complete the look.

Changes to the interior are limited to the graphics of the instrument panel, an improved TFT screen info placed between the two main gauges, and new colors and trim materials for the cabin.

On the technology front, Toyota has updated the Land Cruiser 200′s Multi-Terrain Select system, which provides the ability to alter the settings of the traction control and ABS for different driving conditions, as well as the “Craw Control” feature that acts a bit like a cruise control for low-speed off-roading on difficult terrain.

The 2012 Land Cruiser 200 will continue to be offered in Japan with a single engine option, a 4.6-liter V8 delivering 318PS at 5,600 rpm and 460Nm (339.2 lb-ft) of peak torque at 3,400 rpm, linked to an automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

Local prices range from 4,400,000 yen (~US$56,500) for the five-passenger GX model to 6,300,000 yen (~US$80,900) for the top-of-the-line, eight-passenger ZX.

Along with the regular models, Toyota also offers two special packages for the JDM 2012 Land Cruiser 200, named “Luxury SUV” and “Urban Sports”, both of which add a number of bespoke styling elements inside and out.

Toyota didn’t say when it plans to introduce the facelifted Land Cruiser in other markets around the world, but buyers should expect to see it in dealerships sometime next year.

New BMW M5 F10 2013 with Twin-Turbo V8 Dyno: Manufacturer figures on vehicle performance are not always accurate. That’s why many road test editors prefer to verify the numbers on their own.

Some of them even go as far as dyno-testing to see not only if the output figures match those announced by the manufacturer, but also what is the actual power that is transferred to the road and how much is lost on its way from the engine to the wheels.

The first independent dyno test of the brand new 2013 BMW M5 was conducted by PP Performance on a MAHA LPS 3000 dyno and was published by BimmerPost.

Does the twin-turbo V8 powerhouse that nests under the hood of the F10 M5 match the 570HP and 680Nm (502 lb-ft) promised by BMW?

Detroit Auto Show 2012 -  Chrysler 200 Super S by Mopar – Latest photos & reviews of Chrysler 200 Super S Mopar 2012: Joining the 2012 Dodge Charger Redline at the upcoming North American International Auto Show in Detroit next week will be a second Mopar creation, this time based on the Chrysler 200 sedan called the Super S.

There are two available kits that improve the Chrysler 200 sedan’s looks and handling respectively and which can be ordered together.

“The Super S is Mopar’s interpretation of the Chrysler 200,” said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar. “The extensive list of high-quality Mopar parts enhances the performance and appearance of our Chrysler 200.”

For Stage One, Mopar’s team developed an appearance package that includes a large chin spoiler, satin chrome fog light trim, grille surround and mesh in the upper and lower grilles, new side sills, satin chrome belt moldings, black chrome “200″ badges and gray or hyper black 18-inch “S” alloy wheels.

A new trunk lid spoiler along with a satin chrome light bar and a matte black lower diffuser with attached exhaust openings complete the more aggressive look.

While there aren’t any upgrades for the engine, Stage Two adds a coil-over suspension that also lowers the ride height, along with a cold-air intake and cat-back exhaust system.

The Super S packages will be available for order in the U.S. this spring.

Lexus GS 350 F-Sport 2013 Keeps 2011MY’s $47,775 Price – Latest Reviews & photos of Lexus GS 350 F-Sport 2013: We’re accustomed to carmakers upping prices on brand-new models, especially if when they feature significant enhancements over their predecessors. But given the competition from its German rivals, Lexus decided to play it safe and keep the base U.S. price of its all-new 2013 GS 350 sedan unchanged over the outgoing model.

“With all of the enhancements to the all-new GS, the base price remains the same at $46,900*,” said Mark Templin, group vice president and general manager, Lexus Division. “We expect the GS will suit the needs of many drivers and compete well in the segment.”

If you add a delivery, processing and handling [DPH] fee* of $875, the rear wheel-drive 2013 GS 350′s MSRP rises to $47,775.

There’s also an all-wheel drive model priced at $49,450 or $50,325 with the DPH fee, which equals to a $600 increase over the 2011MY GS 350 AWD.

Both the RWD and AWD versions of the 2013 GS 350 are powered by a 3.5-liter V6 with 306HP matched to a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The RWD model accelerates from standstill to 60mph (96km/h) in 5.7 seconds while returning EPA-estimated ratings of 19 mpg city, 28 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined.

Standard features include bi-xenon HID headlamps, L-shaped LED daytime running lights, paddle shifters, a new energy-saving auto climate control system and the S-Flow system that uses the occupant-detection system to focus air-flow only to the front area where passengers are actually seated.

A next-generation Remote Touch that allows the user to control the climate, audio, phone controls and optional navigation, and a color TFT multi-information display are also standard.

The Japanese brand’s premium sedan will offer buyers three optional packages named Premium, Luxury and F-Sport.

Priced at $1,400, the Premium Package includes rain-sensing wipers, heated and ventilated front seats and power rear sunshade.

The Luxury Package, priced at $5,750, includes the aforementioned features plus: Adaptive Variable Suspension; an Adaptive Front Lighting System; high gloss linear espresso wood trim; semi-aniline leather, 18-way power front driver and passenger seats, side bolster and thigh support controls; four-way lumbar; driver and passenger seat memory; rear HVAC and audio controls; rear manual side sunshades; 18-inch alloy wheels, and wood and leather steering wheel.

The F-Sport package, which carries an MSRP of $5,690, enhances the GS 350 with a comprehensive aero kit, 19-inch alloy wheels, an F SPORT-tuned Adaptive Variable Suspension, larger front brakes with high friction pads, Variable Gear Ratio Steering (VGRS), sport seats and interior trim plus an Sport S+ mode that changes the settings of the adaptive variable suspension, steering system, and vehicle stability control (VSC).

Honda Crosstour EX-L 2012

Honda Crosstour EX-L 2012 with 2.4-Liter Four-Cylinder Engine – Latest reviews & photos of Honda Crosstour EX-L 2012: We were expecting Honda to drop a four-cylinder engine to its renamed Crosstour model (previously known as the Accord Crosstour) for a quite some time now, and today, the Japanese company finally made the move.

Scheduled to go on sale in the U.S.A. in the beginning of January 2012, the new base version of the Crosstour is fitted with Honda’s 2.4-liter i-VTEC inline four-cylinder engine that produces 192-horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 162 lb-ft. of torque at 4,400 rpm.

The four-cylinder Crosstour comes equipped with a standard 5-speed automatic transmission and will be available only with front-wheel drive. Honda says that EPA-estimated fuel economy on the four-cylinder Crosstour is 21 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. That’s compared to the 271-horsepower 2WD V6 model’s EPA estimated 18 mpg city and 27 mpg highway.

We’re still waiting for Honda to release pricing, but the Japanese company tells us that the four-cylinder Crosstour will be offered in two trim levels, including the EX and the leather-upholstered EX-L.

Standard features on the EX include 17-inch alloy wheels with P225/65 R17 all-season tires, auto-on/off headlights, Bluetooth HandsFreeLink, USB audio interface and rearview mirror back-up camera display, a moonroof, auto-up/down driver and front passenger side windows, air conditioning, and a 360-watt AM/FM 6-disc audio system with seven speakers.

The more expensive EX-L adds: leather-trimmed seating surfaces with heated front seats, a memory driver-side seat and memory-linked side mirrors with reverse gear tilt-down capability, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob, dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic dimming mirror and a premium audio system.

Hyundai Sonata Hybrid sedan 2012 model released pricing at $26,610 – Latest photos & reviews of Hyundai Sonata Hybrid sedan 2012: Hyundai has released pricing information for its 2012 model year Sonata Hybrid sedan, which starts at $25,850, or $26,610 if you include a $760 delivery fee*. That’s a $55 increase over the 2011 model.

While there are no cosmetic or mechanical changes for the 2012MY, Hyundai has added its Blue Link telematics system the car’s standard equipment.

In addition, there’s a new optional Leather Package that offers leather seating surfaces, steering wheel and shift knob, plus heated front and rear seats, and auto-dimming rear-view mirror with HomeLink and compass. Hyundai says that these features were previously available only on the higher trim level of the Sonata Hybrid.

For the 2012MY, the most fuel efficient model of the Sonata series continues with a hybrid powertrain that combines a 169HP 2.4-liter Atkinson-cycle engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission, a 30kW electric motor and a lithium polymer battery.

The Sonata Hybrid delivers an EPA estimated 40mpg [5.9lt/100km] on the highway, 35mpg [6.7lt/100km] in the city and 37mpg [6.4lt/100km] combined.

Fiat Panda 2012 with New photos & reviews: We have already seen the 2012 Fiat Panda at its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show this past September, but the Italian brand has just dropped a massive gallery comprising of more than 170 high-resolution photos, some of which are quite picturesque.

To refresh your memory, this is just the third iteration of the Panda in the model’s 31-year history. It’s predecessor were extremely successful and popular throughout Europe having sold some 6.5 million units over the past three decades.

Fiat hopes to build on the success of the Panda’s predecessors with the new model, which is available exclusively with five doors and comes with a slightly larger body that measures 3,650 mm long, 1,640 mm wide and 1,550 mm tall for improved passenger space.

European city dwellers can choose from six engines including two TwinAir 0.9-liter 2-cylinder gasoline units in naturally aspirated and turbocharged formats with 65HP and 85HP respectively, a 4-cylinder, 1.2-liter 69HP gasoline engine, plus a 75HP 1.3-liter Multijet diesel with auto stop-start technology, a petrol/methane version of the 0.9 liter turbocharged unit and a petrol/LPG version of the 1.2.

At launch, the new Panda is available with front-wheel drive with a Panda 4×4 set to make its debut next year.

Honda CR-V 2012 Priced from $23,105 in the States – Latest photos ̃ reviews of Honda CR-V 2012: If the brand-new 2012 Honda CR-V is on your buying list, you’ll be happy to know that the Japanese carmaker has just announced pricing as the crossover model arrived in dealerships across the country today.

Prices for the 2012 CR-V range from $22,295 for the entry-level LX 2WD model to $29,795 for the range-topping EX-L AWD with a navigation package, not including a destination and handling charge of $810 per vehicle, which lifts prices to $23,105 and $30,605 respectively.

Honda says that while it has added between $400 and $1,000 worth of standard features and technologies to each trim compared to the previous model, prices have increased by an average of $181 only, while on model equipped with navigation, the price decreases by $300 over the 2011 CR-V.

All 2012 CR-V models are powered by a 2.4-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine delivering 185HP and 163 lb-ft. of torque linked to a standard 5-speed automatic transmission.

The newcomer has an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 23mpg city, 31mpg highway and 26mpg combined for the front-wheel drive models, and 22mpg city, 30mpg highway and 25mpg combined for the all-wheel drive variants.

Jeep Announces Grand Cherokee SRT8 and New 3.0 CRD Overland – Latest price & photos of Cherokee SRT8 and New 3.0 CRD Overland: Five months after the UK launch of the regular versions of the brand-new Grand Cherokee, Jeep has announced that it is bringing the flagship SRT8.

Billed as the best-performing Jeep ever, the £58,995 Grand Cherokee SRT8 is powered by the new 6.4-liter Hemi V8 that produces 465HP and 630 Nm (465 lb-ft) of torque. It accelerates from standstill to 0 to 60mph [96km/h] in 4.8 seconds, has a top speed of 160 mph [257 km/h], and brakes from 60-0 mph in 116 feet.

Power is transferred to all four wheels via the Quadra-Trac AWD system, which can allocate up to 100 percent of available torque to one rear wheel in slippery conditions. The Grand Cherokee SRT8 also features adaptive damping suspension and the five-mode Selec-Track system that tunes the dynamics of the car according to the road conditions

Its standard equipment includes active head restraints, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and rain brake support, a system that periodically dries the brake discs in wet conditions.

Jeep has also added a new version to the Grand Cherokee Overland series with the 3.0-liter diesel-engine named ‘Summit’ which is priced at £44,795.

On the outside, the Summit is distinguished by its new, “Rugged Brown” color with fully chromed grille and fog lamp bezels and the 20-inch polished alloy wheels.

Inside, it gets a two-tone black lower and saddle upper interior trim, along with saddle-colored Nappa heated and ventilated leather seats with perforated inserts, accent piping and unique stitching, plus Berber floor mats with black and chestnut accent binding.

Vauxhall Insignia BiTurbo 2012 with 195HP Diesel With new price & reviews: A new and more powerful four-cylinder diesel engine has landed under the hood of the Vauxhall Insignia (sold under the Opel nameplate in the rest of Europe and as the Buick Regal in North America).

The 2.0-liter unit delivers an output of 195PS (198bhp) at 4,000 rpm and a healthy peak torque of 400Nm (295 lb-ft) between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm.

The new diesel engine is based on the existing 2.0 CDTi used on several Vauxhall / Opel models such as the Insignia, Astra and new Zafira Tourer range but in the Insignia BiTurbo, it gains twin-sequential turbochargers boosting output by 35PS and peak torque by 50Nm.

The smaller turbo is used at lower engine speeds to abolish ‘lag’, providing up to 350Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque from 1500rpm, while in the mid-range, both turbochargers work together allowing for a maximum torque of 400Nm between 1750-2500rpm. From 3,000rpm and on, all gases flow directly to the larger turbo.

The added power reduces the 0-60mph time by nearly one second to 8.2 seconds for the Insignia FWD Hatch.

Despite the improved performance numbers, the BiTurbo model is actually more fuel-efficient than the single turbo version thanks to a suite of eco features that include standard Start/Stop system, with the FWD Hatch returning a combined 57.6mpg UK (48mpg US or 4.9lt/100km), 2.2mpg better than the single-turbo 2.0 CDTi 160PS model.

The new Insignia BiTurbo is available with a choice of five-door Hatch and Sports Tourer bodies in SRi, SRi Vx-line and Elite trims, with UK prices starting from £27,120 OTR.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2013 by Maserati, latest photos & reviews Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2013: Collaborations between two companies that belong in the same group is a common practice. However, platform or parts sharing, or even badge engineering, is not the only form of a partnership.

In 2008, Ferrari chose a limited edition of the Fiat 500 as a courtesy car for its customers. Now, two more brands of the Fiat group have emulated the Ferrari-Fiat move. Maserati has chosen Alfa Romeo’s C-segment hatchback, the Giulietta, as a courtesy car for its clients in Europe.

The car, which will be produced in a strictly limited number of 100 units, is based on the top-of-the-line Quadrifoglio Verde that’s powered by a 235HP turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder petrol engine.

The “Giulietta for Maserati” special will be distinguished on the outside by 18-inch alloy wheels that Alfa says are “enhanced by diamond tooling” and larger brakes with red calipers.

In the cabin, Maserati owners who will use the Giulietta as a courtesy car will find “Maserati Brown” Venere leather upholstery, brushed aluminum inserts along with an “Alfa Romeo for Maserati” plaque on the dashboard and aluminum door sill plates with the names “Giulietta” and “Maserati” engraved on them.

Standard features include bi-xenon headlights with AFS function, a navigation system with a pop-up display, a Blue&Me hands-free system with steering wheel-mounted controls, Bluetooth, USB and AUX-IN connectivity and dual-zone automatic climate control.
