Fiat Panda 2012 with New photos & reviews: We have already seen the 2012 Fiat Panda at its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show this past September, but the Italian brand has just dropped a massive gallery comprising of more than 170 high-resolution photos, some of which are quite picturesque.

To refresh your memory, this is just the third iteration of the Panda in the model’s 31-year history. It’s predecessor were extremely successful and popular throughout Europe having sold some 6.5 million units over the past three decades.

Fiat hopes to build on the success of the Panda’s predecessors with the new model, which is available exclusively with five doors and comes with a slightly larger body that measures 3,650 mm long, 1,640 mm wide and 1,550 mm tall for improved passenger space.

European city dwellers can choose from six engines including two TwinAir 0.9-liter 2-cylinder gasoline units in naturally aspirated and turbocharged formats with 65HP and 85HP respectively, a 4-cylinder, 1.2-liter 69HP gasoline engine, plus a 75HP 1.3-liter Multijet diesel with auto stop-start technology, a petrol/methane version of the 0.9 liter turbocharged unit and a petrol/LPG version of the 1.2.

At launch, the new Panda is available with front-wheel drive with a Panda 4×4 set to make its debut next year.

Fiat Panda 2011 Gets Euro 5 Engines in the UK – Latest Photos & details Fiat Panda 2011: Last February Fiat recorded Europe’s lowest average CO2 emissions for the fourth year in a row. And now it reinforces its eco-friendly character by introducing an all-Euro 5 engine line-up across the Panda range in Britain.

The base 1.1-liter engine is replaced by a 1.2-liter Euro 5 engine. It has an output of 69 bhp, accelerating the car from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 13.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 101 mph (162 km/h), while its average consumption is 57.6 mpg UK (4.9 lt/100 km) and its CO2 emissions 113 g/km.

The 1.3-liter MultiJet turbodiesel has a 0-62 mph (0-100 km) time of 13.1 seconds, a top speed of 103 mph (166 km/h), an average consumption of only 67.3 mpg (4.2 lt/100 km) and emits 109 g CO2 per km.

The entry-level Fiat Panda Active offers power steering, electric front windows, body coloured bumpers and driver and passenger airbags as standard.

The MyLife editions also gain alloy wheels, remote central locking and 12V power socket, while the Dynamic trim adds body coloured door mirrors and handles, roof bars, air conditioning, pearlescent paint, split folding rear seat, MP3 player and fog lights.

Fiat 500 by Gucci Priced from £14,565 in Britain – Latest photos & info of Fiat 500 by Gucci 2012: Having launched a new spicy campaign for the 500 by Gucci starring Russian bombshell Natasha Poly, Fiat is now beginning to announce pricing for individual markets.

Today, the Italian released details for the United Kingdom, where the limited edition model designed by Gucci will be offered with two gasoline engines, a 1.2-liter unit priced at £14,565 OTR and a 0.9-litre TwinAir, which won the International Engine of the Year accolade and costs £15,765 OTR.

At launch, the 500 by Gucci will be available to order exclusively on-line with buyers being able to place a down payment and then track the car’s progress, make the final payment and even arrange a special delivery of the car to their home.

“The 500byGucci will enlarge the audience for the already successful Fiat 500, reaching those fashionista customers who want to have a unique car to distinguish themselves,” said Elena Bernardelli, marketing director, Fiat Group Automobiles UK. “And the on-line sales process adds another dimension to the individuality of this special model, creating an even greater sense of exclusivity and exceptional customer service.”

Fiat 500C 2012 with latest price from $19,500 in New York – Latest info of Fiat 500C Autos 2012: Fiat’s newly introduced 500C may not be a convertible in the real sense of the word, but the Italian company that holds the fates of Chrysler hopes to capture the attention of sun-seeking buyers with its panoramic canvas-top mini, which made its US debut at this week’s 2011 New York Auto Show.

Scheduled to go on sale this May, the new 2012 500C will be offered in two trim levels, the base Pop that is priced at $19,500, and the better-equipped Lounge, priced at $23,500. According to Fiat, the 500C is the only four-seat cabrio in the U.S. market. However, Fiat’s definition of a ‘cabrio’ is loose -to say the least- given that the 500C comes with full frame doors and columns, simply adding a rollover canvas top in place of the metal roof.

The base version will get you a power cloth top, manual transmission, 15-inch steel wheels, seven standard air bags, air conditioning, AM/FM/CD/MP3 radio with auxiliary audio input, chromed exhaust tip, power windows and door locks, power heated mirrors, speed control, BLUE&ME Handsfree Communication technology with USB port, and leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls. The similarly equipped tin-top 500 is priced at $15,500.

The more premium Lounge model adds several features on top of those found on the Pop, including the a six-speed automatic transmission, front- and rear-fascia chromed accents, chromed mirror caps, fog lamps, 15-inch alloys, premium cloth seats, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, automatic climate control, and BOSE Energy Efficient Series audio system with six premium speakers and subwoofer and security alarm.

Fiat Cabrio 500C 2012 in New York International 2011 Auto Show, latest info Fiat Cabrio 500C 2012:  After releasing the three-door hatchback variant of the 500 in the U.S., Fiat announced today a new addition to the range of its 1950s style model, the 500C, where ‘C’ stands for Cabrio.

However, most will quickly notice that the 500C isn’t really a full-fledged convertible model as the Italian company opted to revive the rollback canvas roof from the original Cinquecento (500).

The dual-layer cloth top runs along the length of the diminutive hatchback and folds back to where the rear window would be on the tin-top version. The soft top is electrically-operated through a push button, and can retract up to the rear spoiler during speeds of up to 60 mph (96 km/h).

The four-seater 500c offers buyers a choice of three exterior soft-top colors, 14 exterior colors, 12 unique seat colors and material combinations plus a choice of two interior trims.

The Italian company has not yet disclosed details on the engine range, but expect to find the same 101HP 1.4-liter MultiAir four-cylinder gasoline unit that powers its fixed roof twin. Launch dates and prices are to be announced.

Fiat Panda Mini autos 2012, latest info of Fiat Panda Mini 2012: The first examples of the successor to Fiat’s current generation Panda city car will roll off the production line in Italy this November, according to a top Fiat executive. The third generation of the Panda is scheduled to make its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show in mid-September

“We are on track in refurbishing Pomigliano, which will become a truly state-of-the-art plant when it begins production in November,” Fiat Group chief manufacturing officer Stefan Ketter told Autonews Europe.

Last year, Fiat Group CEO Sergio Marchionne announced that the updated Pomigliano d’Arco plant in central Italy would manufacturer the new Panda as part of the firm’s “Fabbrica Italia” (Italian factory) plan to increase vehicle productivity in Italy from around 650,000 units in 2010 to approximately 1.4 million cars in 2014.

The decision to move production of the Panda from the Tychy factory in Poland to Pomigliano came after Fiat SpA workers supported a reorganization plan to increase their productivity by around 70 percent, switching to a three-shift, 280-workday year from the current two shifts and 235 workdays. Sergio Marchionne had threatened the unions that he would either keep production of the new Panda in Poland or move it to Serbia if they did not agree to the new labor deal.

Fiat has invested some €800 million to build the new Panda in Pomigliano. In 2010, the Italian factory produced around 30,000 units of the Alfa Romeo 159 sedan and sports wagon, plus the final examples of the 147 hatchback and GT sports coupe.

The Tychy factory in Poland builds the current Fiat Panda and 500, as well as the Ford Ka city cars, and is currently Fiat’s largest and most efficient plant in Europe producing more than 533,000 cars in 2010. It ranks second within Fiat Group’s global plants after the firm’s Belo Horizonte, Brazil, facility that produced close to 700,000 vehicles last year.

Fiat Punto Evo supermini 2011,  Fiat Punto Evo 150 2011 starting price in Italy from $14,000: To mark the 150th anniversary of Italy’s unification, Fiat has unveiled a special edition version of its Punto Evo supermini called the ‘Punto 150’. Set to go on sale this April, the commemorative edition is distinguished by a bespoke honeycomb grille, the two-tone unique lightweight alloy wheels, “Azzurro Italia” special metallic paintwork and the “Italia 150” round commemorative badges on the B-pillars.

All Punto 150°s (reads 150th) will be offered with standard air conditioning, a radio-CD audio system with MP3 compatibility and fog lights.

Power comes from a choice of three Euro 5-compliant engines, two running on petrol (1.2-liter 69HP and 1.4-liter 77HP) and one on diesel (1.3-liter Multijet II 75HP). All engines are fitted with a start/stop system as standard.Fiat also offers a 70HP 1.4-liter engine that can run either on petrol either or LPG.

The starting price in Italy for the 1.2-liter version of the Punto 150° will be €9,900 ($14,000). Besides this special anniversary model, Fiat will put the “Italia 150” logo on all the cars it will build between April and the end of June for the Italian market.

Fiat didn’t say if the Punto 150° is reserved only for Italy or if it will be sold in other European countries as well.

Fiat Abarth 500 Gulf – Italian Autos mini 2011: This here is the actual, factual Fiat Abarth 500 Gulf Limited Edition special in the flesh, photographed at the Autopolis Fiat dealership in Luxembourg. We say this because yesterday, we reported on the limited run special and Fiat’s photoshoped picture that made the internet rounds.

While our friends from Auto55 and Autofans verified the story with the official press release, we were left wondering what the Italian mini with the classic racing-livery would look like in real life.

Today, our pondering came to an end as the Marketing and Communications director of Autopolis Luxembourg dropped the first real life shots of the car in our mailbox. We believe Fiat should have released these photos instead of the ‘chop from the beginning, but we’ll give them props for keeping a close eye on the web-o-sphere and swiftly reacting to our post.

As for the car itself, it was created by the Italian brand’s official importer for Luxembourg, Autopolis, in association with Gulf Petroleum, to celebrate the latter’s 10th anniversary in the country.

Only ten examples of the Fiat Abarth 500 Gulf Limited Edition will be built, each priced at €25,000 (not including VAT) a piece, which is about US$34,000. Aside from the iconic Gulf Racing livery, the special edition 500s also get the ‘esseesse’ performance kit that pushes the 1.4-liter turbo engine’s output to 160-ponies, a Monza sport exhaust and Corse-Sabelt racing buckets with the seatbacks finished in Gulf-blue.

Fiat 500 Blackjack with New Special Edition 2011: Fiat has announced a new limited edition version of the 500 city car, which will go on sale across Europe (including Britain) in September. Called, appropriately enough, the 500 Blackjack, the special mini is decked out in a matte black finish with glossy black details such as the door handles, exterior mirrors, fog lamp surrounds and bumper trims. The car rides on 16-inch black alloy wheels with a red frame on the center, while some variants also get red brake calipers.

The package also upgrades the interior with seats upholstered in red leather or alternatively, in black leather and fabric, unique trim and silver seams on the leather steering wheel and gear knob.

The 500 Blackjack will be available with all engines in the range including the new TwinAir 85HP 0.9-liter two-cylinder turbo petrol. Prices in Italy start from €13,850.

Fiat UK Prices New Abarth 500C 140HP and Punto Evo 165HP: The new Abarth 500C will cost from £17,500 OTR and the Abarth Punto Evo from £16,500 OTR, Fiat’s UK arm announced. Both models will make their UK public debuts at this weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, before going on sale in Britain from Saturday 17 July.

The semi-convertible Abarth 500C is motivated by a 140HP 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which provides a top speed of 127mph and a 0-62mph (100km/h) time of 8.1 seconds, while returning 43mpg UK on the combined cycle.

The feisty city car is equipped with seven airbags, xenon headlights, TTC (torque transfer control), parking sensors, Blue&Me hands-free telecommunications system, leather steering wheel and 16-inch alloy wheels plus a six-speed automated manual gearbox with paddle shifters, as standard.

The facelifted Abarth Punto Evo is powered by a 165bhp 1.4-liter Turbo, which can accelerate the car from 0-62mph (100km/h) in 7.9 seconds, and on to a top speed of 132mph, while delivering more than 47mpg UK on the combined cycle.

Standard equipment includes six airbags, TTC, Eco Gear Shift Indicator (EGSI), performance sport switch, Start&Stop tech, 17-inch alloy wheels and Blue&Me hands-free telecommunications system.

Fiat’s 500 Goes Atomik Autos 2010:  Atomik Cars wants to make an electric Abarth 500, which is a good idea from the start. Claimed to have “supercar performance in a city car’s size”, Atomik’s 500 features a bunch of fancy tech under its carbon fiber skin: “high performance LiFePO4 batteries”, brushless synchronous motors, two new transmissions (resulting in permanent AWD), a ceramic heater, and a carbon/Nomex rear chassis (by the way, Nomex is what Batman’s suit is made out of).Power at the front comes in at 80 kW and a very electric 840 Nm (619 lb-ft), while the rear engine makes the same power and a silly 1,710 Nm (1,261 lb-ft). Combined, that’s good for 160 kW (215 hp) and an unadjusted 2,550 Nm (1,880 lb-ft) split 33/67 front to rear.
Atomik says the electrified 500 should hit 100 km/h in under 5 seconds with a top speed of around 200 km/h (electric cutoff is at 180 km/h), while providing a range of 200 km (124 miles).

2011 Fiat Uno, Supermini Autos of Italia: These here are the first official photographs of the 2011 Fiat Uno, a new supermini that will sit between the Panda and the Grande Punto in the Italian automaker’s vehicle range. The car borrows its name from the predecessor of the Punto and Grande Punto superminis, the highly successful Uno that was introduced in 1983 as a replacement to the ageing Fiat 127. Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, the original Uno remained in production until 1995 having received a heavy facelift in 1989.

Its spiritual successor, which closely resembles a larger Panda in appearance, will be manufactured in Brazil.

It will be offered (initially) in two flavors, the standard five-door hatchback model and the crossover-ish Uno Way that boasts a higher road clearance and rugged looks.

There are no details on the engine range, but South American buyers shouldn’t expect any surprises under the hood as Fiat will most likely use the same small displacement powertrains found on its other models.

Sources state that the new Uno will also make its way to Europe, Russia and other major international markets, but Fiat has yet to announce any specific details.
