Ford Focus RS500 Upgrade Kit: In a move that shows how lame the whole story of the special edition version of the… special edition Focus RS, a.k.a., the RS500 story is, Ford’s European division has announced the availability of a factory-approved performance package developed by the company’s tuning partner Mountune Performance for new and existing owners of the standard Focus RS.

And yes, the engine modifications provided by the so-called “MP350″ package are similar to those developed for the new limited edition Focus RS500 model that was sold out only a few hours after its reveal.

Ford Focus RS500 – New Autos 2010: We were supposed to get our first official look of the new, limited run Ford Focus RS500 on Wednesday, but Ford decided to release information and photos today “due to the overwhelming interest shown”, as the company states on its dedicated website.

So what’s the Focus RS500 all about? If you’re the kind of type that likes getting to the point, all you need to know is that the RS500 is a limited edition of the Focus RS with a beefed up 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-five churning out 350HP, a matte black ‘foil’ wrap and special interior trim that will be produced in a strictly-limited production run of 500 individually-numbered vehicles.

New autos 2010: Ford Announces 2011 Mustang GT V8′s Fuel Economy Ratings: With its new 3.5 liter V6, the 2011 Mustang became the first 305-horsepower car to return 31 miles per gallon. Now the 5.0 liter, 412-horsepower V8 has been rated, and it returns a best-in-class 26 miles per gallon on the highway and 17 in the city when equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission.

Ford Mustang BOSS 302R Auto 2010:  Along with the new 2011 Mustang GT 5.0-liter V8, Ford also took the covers off a track version of its updated pony car called the BOSS 302R in honor of the 40th anniversary of Parnelli Jones’ 1970 Trans-Am championship in a Mustang BOSS 302 prepared by Bud Moore Engineering.
Set to replace the Mustang FR500C, the BOSS 302R features the GT’s new 5.0-liter V8 engine coupled to a six-speed manual transmission and comes equipped with a roll cage, race seats, safety harness, data acquisition and race dampers/springs, and a Brembo brake and tire package.

Ford S MAX 203HP 2.0 LiterTurbo Auto 2010: Along with the revised Galaxy MPV , Ford -officially- unveiled today the minivan’s ‘sportier’ sibling, the facelifted 2010 S-MAX that will also make its public debut at the 2010 Brussels auto show next January. Being twin-models, the two people carriers share most upgrades including the introduction of Ford’s new 2.0-liter EcoBoost STCi petrol engine and the new diesel lineup.
However, the S-MAX’s makeover is a little more noticeable that that of the 2010 Galaxy. At the front, the new S-MAX gains a redesigned bonnet, bumper and upper and lower grilles, with the high series models now featuring distinctive LED daytime running lights.

Ford S MAX Auto 2010: The first official shots of Ford’s European market 2010 S-MAX and Galaxy MPV have hit the web ahead of an anticipated unveiling in January 2010. Looking at the photos it appears that the slightly shorter S-MAX gains a new lower grille design that brings it in line with Ford’s latest offerings such as the Fiesta hatch along with a reshaped front bumper that houses a pair of LED lights.

The North American version of Ford’s latest generation Fiesta was officially unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show today. On this side of the Atlantic, the 2011 Fiesta will be sold as a five-door hatchback and a four-door sedan, both of which will be available with one engine, a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol with an estimated output of 119 horsepower and 109 ft.-lbs. of torque.
Power will transferred to the front wheels through a standard five-speed manual gearbox or optionally, an all-new North American industry-exclusive PowerShift six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. Ford said it expects that the Fiesta will return up to 40 mpg on the highway.

Ford Fiesta Debut at Thailand Motor Expo 2010: Coinciding with its U.S. launch at this week’s Los Angeles Auto Show, Ford’s new Fiesta will also make its ASEAN (Southeastern Asian nations) debut at the Thailand International Motor Expo that runs from December 2 to 13. FoMoCo’s supermini will go on sale in Thailand in early 2010 as a five-door hatchback and four-door sedan.
It will be locally produced at AutoAlliance Thailand’s new $500 million plant, which will supply the entire ASEAN region, as well as Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
