That’s a $55 increase over the 2011 model.

While there are no cosmetic or mechanical changes for the 2012MY, Hyundai has added its Blue Link telematics system the car’s standard equipment.

In addition, there’s a new optional Leather Package that offers leather seating surfaces, steering wheel and shift knob, plus heated front and rear seats, and auto-dimming rear-view mirror with HomeLink and compass. Hyundai says that these features were previously available only on the higher trim level of the Sonata Hybrid.

For the 2012MY, the most fuel efficient model of the Sonata series continues with a hybrid powertrain that combines a 169HP 2.4-liter Atkinson-cycle engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission, a 30kW electric motor and a lithium polymer battery.

The Sonata Hybrid delivers an EPA estimated 40mpg [5.9lt/100km] on the highway, 35mpg [6.7lt/100km] in the city and 37mpg [6.4lt/100km] combined.

Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2013 upgraded 3.8-liter GDI V6 – Latest reviews & photos of Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2013: We’re guessing that it won’t be long before we get the full picture [pun intended] on the refreshed 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe as the South Korean automaker just published a fresh batch of photos of the car, this time on its Facebook page.

The three new pictures come only a couple of days after Hyundai shared two cropped images of the rear-wheel drive coupe through its Korean blog.

We’ll remind you that we also discovered a variety of images on a Korean forum that provided us with our first look at the 2013 Genesis Coupe’s redesigned interior and most importantly, confirmed the upgraded 3.8-liter GDI V6 which should deliver 333-horses, up from the current model’s 306HP.

It is believed that the facelifted Genesis Coupe will make its first appearance on American soil at the 2012 Detroit motor show in early January.

Hyundai Veloster Coupe Turbo 2012 for Australian Market – Latest photos & reviews for Hyundai Veloster Coupe 2012: We’ve known about the turbocharged version of the Veloster since January, but Hyundai only recently made it official.

Following the announcement on the debut of the North American Velsoter Turbo at the Detroit Motor Show in January of 2012, the company’s Australian arm revealed today that a 1.6-liter turbo petrol engine would join the three-door sport hatchback’s line-up.

The naturally aspirated version of the Veloster will launch in Australia early next year, with the turbo model to follow at a later date.

The Turbo model will get a 1.6-liter four-cylinder unit with a twin-scroll turbocharger, an air guided intercooler, direct fuel injection system and dual CVVT, delivering 204HP at 6,000 rpm and 265Nm (195 lb-ft) at 1,750 rpm.

Hyundai has said that these numbers will slightly differ depending on the market.

Hyundai Veloster 2012 Announces UK Pricing – Latest pictures & reviews of Hyundai Veloster 2012 Autos: Already available in many countries around the world, the new Hyundai Veloster will reach British shores in February 2012 with a starting price of £17,995 on the road and an insurance group rating of 16E.

The 1+2 door Hyundai model will offer buyers a single engine choice and two main trim levels, base and Sport. The Veloster is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder GDI petrol engine that produces 140-horsepower. It can be combined with a six-speed manual gearbox or Hyundai’s first dual-clutch transmission.

When equipped with Hyundai’s Blue drive technologies including the Intelligent Stop & Go system and low rolling resistance tires, the Veloster returns CO2 emissions of 137g/km and a combined fuel economy of 47.9mpg UK.

The base model’s standard features include 17-inch alloy wheels, a 7-in. Touch screen media centre with capability of playing games through consoles and films from smart phones, Bluetooth Connectivity with voice recognition, climate control air conditioning, reversing sensors, front and rear fog lights and LED daytime running lights.

An RDS Radio/CD Player with MP3/WMA compatibility and an iPod connection is also standard.

The Sport model adds 18-inch alloy wheels with colour inserts, black leather upholstery with heated front seats, keyless entry with engine start/stop button, a panoramic sunroof with tilt and slide function, cruise control and aluminum pedals.

New Photos & Reviews of Hyundai i30 2012 at Frankfurt Auto Show 2011: Hyundai has released some new chatter regarding the second generation of its i30 compact hatchback that will make its grand debut at next week’s 64th International Auto Show in Frankfurt

The South Korean car manufacturer’s Ford Focus and VW Golf challenger will go on sale in Europe as a five-door hatchback in the Spring of 2012.

Buyers will have a choice of two direct-injection gasoline engines with a displacement of 1.4-liters and 1.6-liters, and two CRDi turbo diesels, again with a displacement of 1.4-liters and 1.6-liters.

All the available engines are fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox, while in the case of stronger gasoline and diesel versions Hyundai will also offer an optional six-speed automatic transmission.

For the first time in a Hyundai car of this size, the i30 will be available with a knee airbag for the driver, adaptive headlights, instruments with a high-resolution TFT LCD display and an electric parking brake.

Other available options will include a large panoramic sunroof and an integrated navigation system with a 7-inch color monitor and a rearview camera.

Like its predecessor, the new i30 has been designed and engineered at the Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany.

The i30′s styling represents a further evolution of Hyundai’s ‘fluidic sculpture’ form language with both the exterior and interior design modeled closely after the i40 sedan / estate series.

Thomas Bürkle, Chief Designer at Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Centre, commented: “The new-generation i30 is recognisable thanks to the Hyundai family face with its signature hexagonal-shaped front grille and the jewel-like design of the headlamps, together with distinctive daytime running lights. These lights present an angular shape within a more softly-edged recess, adding a strong personality to the vehicle, as well as a sense of refinement and luxury.”

“Through the profile of the new generation i30, a strong character line runs over the front and rear wheelarches all the way to the tail lamps. A softer, lower character line rises up the car’s flank creating a play of light and shadow – a fundamental feature of fluidic sculpture,” Thomas Bürkle concluded.

The South Korean automaker said more body styles will be added to the i30′s range in the near future, without, however, disclosing any specific details.

The only version of the outgoing i30 that is sold in the United States, is the i30 Tourer marketed as the Elantra Tourer.

Hyundai Veloster 2012 Announced Full Pricing and Sales Start in September – Latest photos & review of Hyundai Veloster 2012 Autos: We won’t have to wait until the end of the week to find out the full pricing of the 2012 Veloster as Hyundai has just released detailed information.

The three-door sports hatchback will be offered in the States in a single trim level, with the six-speed manual model priced at $17,300 and the six-speed EcoShift Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) version at $18,550. Neither price includes a $760 freight charge, which lifts the cost to $18,060 and $19,310 respectively.

Standard features include a multi-function seven-inch touch-screen display, Gracenote display technology with voice recognition and Pandora internet radio capability, 17-inch alloy wheels with P215/45R17 tires, ESC with TCS and Vehicle Stability Management, ABS with EBD, Six airbags, air conditioning and more (see the list below).

If you’re willing to spend another $2k, Hyundai offers a Style package that adds among other features, 18-inch wheels, a chrome grille surround, a panoramic sunroof, leatherette seat trim and alloy pedals.

Along with pricing, the South Korean automaker announced fuel economy figures for the Veloster that is powered by a 1.6-liter four-pot generating 138-ponies. The manual model is rated at 28mpg city, 40mpg highway and 32mpg combined, while the dual-clutch automatic transmission version, 29mpg city, 38mpg highway and 32mpg combined.

Hyundai Launches Hyundai i40 Priced from £18,395 in the UK – Latest info & photos of Hyundai i40 Cars: Hyundai has priced its entry into the medium family estate car market, the new i40 Tourer, announcing that it will take from £18,395 (equal to US$30,340 or €21,100) for UK buyers to park one under their house.

In comparison, the Ford Mondeo Estate starts from £18,955 for the 1.6i 120HP model, while the Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer from £19,350 with the 1.8-liter engine.

The estate version of the i40 will arrive in British showrooms this September followed shortly after by the sedan model, which was unveiled at the Barcelona International Motor Show in May.

The i40 Tourer is offered in three trim levels (Active, Style and Premium) and with a choice of four engines including a 1.6-liter petrol (output has not yet been announced), a 1.7-liter diesel with 115HP or 136HP, and a 2.0-liter petrol delivering 177-horsepower. All powerplants come equipped with Hyundai’s start/stop technology.

Standard features on the Active model include 16-in. alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity with voice recognition, leather steering wheel with audio controls, electric heated door mirrors with integrated LED indicators, electric front and rear windows and electric parking brake with automatic hold function.

The Style range benefits from touch screen satellite navigation with rear view camera, front and rear parking sensors, cruise control and dual zone climate control.

The top-of-the-range Premium models add leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, keyless entry and the firm’s so-called supervision instrument cluster with LCD color display, plus the option of the Lane Departure Warning and Smart Parking Assist, heated leather steering wheel and ventilated front seats.

Latest Prices Hyundai Genesis Sedan 2012 Starts from $47,350 – photos & info of  Hyundai Genesis Sedan 2012 Car:  We had our first motor show look at the facelifted 2012 Hyundai Genesis sedan earlier this winter in Chicago, but now, as it reaches dealers across the country, the South Korean automaker is ready to talk about pricing.

In the U.S., buyers can choose from three models, the entry-level 3.8 V6 starting at $34,200, the 4.6 V8 priced at $44,500 and the all-new 5.0 R-Spec with a starting price at $46,500. None of the above prices include an $850 freight charge.

The styling updates for the 2012 Genesis include restyled headlamps with new LED accents and daytime running lights, revised front grille, redesigned bumpers and tail lamps, refined rocker panels plus new exhaust tips, alloy wheels and optional puddle lamps for the exterior mirrors.

Under the sheetmetal, the entry-level 3.8-liter V6 engine receives direct injection (GDI) technology, boosting its output 15 percent from 290 to 333 horsepower, while peak torque is also lifted from 264 lb.-ft. to 291 lb.-ft. Despite the increase in power, fuel economy increases more than seven percent from 27 mpg to 29 mpg on the highway. This is also due to the new in-house developed eight-speed transmission, which replaces the previous six-speed unit.

The 4.6-liter V8 with 385-horsepower is also equipped with the 8-speed automatic transmission and returns17 mpg in city driving and 26 mpg on the highway. Both the 3.8 V6 and 4.6 V8 Genesis models receive some minor chassis tweaks with suspension damping calibrations and a larger rear stabilizer bar.

The newest addition to the Genesis range is the flagship 5.0 R-Spec, which is motivated by freshly developed 5.0-liter V8 Tau engine linked to a sportier-tuned version of Hyundai’s 8-speed auto. The V8 churns out 429 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 376 lb. ft. of torque at 5,000 rpm, and returns an estimated fuel consumption of 16 mpg city and 25 mpg highway.

The R-Spec model is also distinguished by unique 19-inch machined-finish alloy wheels with optional Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position summer performance tires, and according to Hyundai, a sport-tuned suspension and steering calibrations.

Hyundai i45 2011 Smaller Engine start price $26,990 – Latest info and price for Hyundai i45 2011: The Australian market version of Hyundai’s Sonata mid-size sedan, called i45, has received a smaller displacement engine that becomes the new entry point for the range.

The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivers a maximum output of 121kW (162HP) at 6,200 rpm and a peak torque of 198Nm at 4,600 rpm, and is mated to either 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmissions.

Hyundai says the i45 2.0L returns a combined fuel consumption of 7.6lt/100km (equal to 30.9 mpg US) when fitted with an automatic transmission. The 2.4-liter engine, which produces 148 kW (198HP) of power and 250 Nm of torque, is rated at 7.9lt/100km (equal to 29.8 mpg US) when combined with the 6sp auto.

At the same time, the South Korean automaker said that the manual transmission is deleted from the range of the 2.4L model.

Local prices for the i45 2.0L start at AU$26,990 for the manual version and at AU$28,590 for the automatic.

Hyundai i40 Sedan 2011-2012 for Europe will Debut in Barcelona Motor Show – Latest info of Hyundai i40 Sedan  2011-2012:  Just a couple of months after debuting the i40 Station Wagon at the Geneva Salon in March, Hyundai is now getting ready to lift the covers off the sedan version of its mid-size model…

which will receive its world premiere at the upcoming 2011 Barcelona Motor Show on May 12th. The South Korean automaker released the first teaser rendering of the i40 Sedan, which will effectively replace the older generation of the Sonata in the European market and compete in the D-segment against the likes of the Opel Insignia, VW Passat, Toyota Avensis and Citroen C5.

Like the estate model, the saloon is the product Hyundai’s European R&D center in Rüsselsheim, Germany. So far, Hyundai has released very details about the car as we only get to know that it will ride on a wheelbase measuring 2.77 meters long and that according to the company, will deliver “best-in-class dimensions for front head (1025mm), shoulder (1455mm), and leg (1170mm) room”.

European buyers should expect the same engine lineup as the estate including a 1.7-liter turbo diesel and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline unit, with more information to be released after its presentation in Spain.

Not surprisingly, the i40 sedan follows Hyundai’s ‘fluidic sculpture’ design language, which includes a big crease along the shoulder line and a heavily profiled rear end.

“We have used very strong, fluid lines from front to rear to give i40 a distinctive appearance,” commented Thomas Bürkle, Chief Designer at Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Centre. “We wanted to move away from the typical three-box saloon and create a car that was in keeping with the sporty nature of the i40 estate. By sculpting a low, elongated roof line, we’ve given the i40 saloon a striking coupe-like silhouette,” he added.

Hyundai Elantra Yuedong 2011 at Shanghai Auto Show – New face of Hyundai Elantra Yuedong at China autos show 2011: The Hyundai Group is now pointing its arrows to the world’s biggest auto market with the unveiling of two new models for China at this week’s 2011 Shanghai Auto Show, the Elantra Yuedong compact sedan and the mid-size Azera, which is badged as Grandeur in some markets.

If the Elantra Yuedong looks familiar, that’s because it is a facelifted version of the fourth generation model sold in the States until 2010. The most prominent change on the outside concerns the revised front that draws on the Azera’s styling.

According to Hyundai, the interior has also been upgraded with higher quality materials and new convenience and safety features such as a smart key / button start, front side airbag, Motor Driven Power Steering (MDPS), Navigation, USB2.0 port and eco-driving guide system.

The 2011 Elantra Yuedong will be offered in China with two four-cylinder engines in China sporting a displacement of 1.6-liters and 1.8-liters. The compact sedan will compete in China’s biggest segment, which surged from 2.11 million units in 2008 to 3.24 million in 2009 and 3.95 million in 2010, and is expected to reach an astonishing 6 million units by 2013, according to industry forecasts.

As for the Azera, the South Korean maker’s saloon will be marketed in China as an affordable alternative to premium models in the mid-size segment. The 4,910mm-long sedan comes with a choice of two gasoline engines, a 250HP 3.0-liter V6 and a 180HP 2.4-liter four-cylinder unit, both of which are matted to a six-speed automatic transmission.

The Azera and new Elantra Yuedong are scheduled to hit showrooms in China within the next few months.

Hyundai i40 2011 at 2011 Geneva Motor Show, latest info of Hyundai i40 2011 cars, Hyundai had shared the first photos of its all-new i40 ahead of the car’s world premiere at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show on March 1.

Revealed here in station wagon form, the estate is the first i40 body style to be introduced to Europe, with a four-door sedan model to follow later this year. The i40 essentially replaces the older generation Sonata in Europe eyeing the highly competitive D-segment with rivals such as the Ford Mondeo, Peugeot 508, Mazda6 and Volkswagen Passat.

Designed and engineered at Hyundai’s R&D headquarters in Rüsselsheim, Germany, Hyundai says the i40 is the company’s “first D-segment vehicle to be developed specifically for the European market, with a package of powertrains, equipment and technology tailored for European tastes.”

The exterior styling of the i40 is much closer to that of the North American Elantra than it is to the latest Sonata, and encompasses design cues from Hyundai’s ‘fluidic sculpture’ design language. The flowing roofline and accentuated profile line help to visually lighten the design of the estate model.

Inside, the i40 gets a sculpted dashboard with a prominent screen display mounted high up and flanked by a pair of small air vents, underneath which nestle a bank of push buttons for ventilation and minor controls.

Hyundai says the i40 will come with a high level of standard equipment, including three segment ‘firsts’: heated and reclining front and rear seats; a heated steering wheel; and an active de-mist system that automatically detects and clears mist on the windscreen.

The mid-size model will be offered with a variety of modern powertrains including Hyundai’s new 1.7-liter four-cylinder turbo diesel engine that emits just 113 g/km of CO2 emissions. The Korean automaker did not release any other details on the engine lineup, but it is believed that the Veloster’s 1.6-liter gasoline engine and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol with direct injection and an output of around 170-horsepower, will also be on offer.
