Kia Sportage 2011Pricing Released, Starts from $18,990: Kia announced today that its all-new 2011 Sportage compact crossover goes on sale in the U.S. at the end of the July with a starting price of $18,990, which includes a $695 destination and handling fee. There are three trim levels, Base, LX and EX. Standard safety features include ABS, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and six airbags.

2011 Kia Optima to be Offered with 2.0-liter Gasoline and 1.7-liter Turbo Diesel in Europe: During last week’s press days of the 2010 New York International Auto Show, Kia took the veils off the all-new 2011 Optima mid-size sedan that will carry the same name in all markets outside Korea.
While the new Optima will arrive in Kia’s U.S. showrooms this fall, European buyers will have to wait until Spring of 2011 to get their hands on the Korean firm’s D-segment sedan that will compete with the likes of the Ford Mondeo and Citroen C5.

This here is the all-new and very promising 2011 Kia Optima sedan that will go on sale in the U.S. this fall and in Europe next spring. The South Korean automaker’s press conference at the NY Show isn’t until tomorrow, so we don’t have all the details on the mid-size saloon yet.

2011 Kia Cadenza Auto: The all-new Kia Cadenza sedan was officially launched in Korea today where it will go on sale under the name K7. The 4,965 mm (195.5”) long Cadenza will take over the role of Kia’s flagship sedan from the 10-year old Opirus, also called Amanti in some markets. Designed under the guidance of former Audi design chief Peter Schreyer, the Cadenza is the production version of the KND-5 concept model shown in Seoul earlier this year. And yes, we couldn’t help but compare the Korean sedan’s styling to the new BMW 5-Series that was introduced on Monday.
We’ve yet to see either car in the flesh, but judging from the photos, our first thought is that Schreyer and Kia have really pushed the envelope in the styling department. That, and BMW is playing it a bit too safe with its latest designs…
