Mitsubishi Eclipse SE 2012 Special Edition Series – Latest photos & info of Mitsubishi Eclipse SE 2012 Autos:  Produced since 2006, the fourth generation Mitsubishi Eclipse is nearing the end of its career and to mark the occasion, the Japanese manufacturer has announced a final special edition for the Coupe and Spyder models.

As Mitsubishi will cease production of the Eclipse after the upcoming 2012 model year without offering a replacement model, the SE Special Edition is the manufacturer’s way of saying goodbye to a model series produced since 1989.

All Eclipse trim levels (GS, GS Sport and GT) will be available as SE Special Edition versions which includes “SE” side decals, black side mirrors and 18-inch dark finish alloy wheels, along with the high-end standard features available on the Eclipse GS Sport versions of both the coupe and convertible models.

Standard equipment includes leather upholstery with heated front seats and a power-adjustable driver’s seat, rearview camera, Bluetooth hands-free phone access, heated side mirrors and a 9-speaker, 650-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system with SIRIUS satellite radio. The coupe version also includes a sunroof.

The Eclipse SE Special Edition will be available with two engine options: a naturally-aspirated 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 162-horsepower (in the GS/GS Sport models) or a 265-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 engine (for the GT model). The latter is mated to a 5-speed Sportronic automatic transmission that allows the driver to manually select gearshifts when desired. GT-based SE models also get an automatic climate control system.

Mitsubishi Outlander 2011 with New 2.2-liter Diesel and 2WD Variant Announced for the UK: Following the limited release of the special edition Outlander Juro in July, Mitsubishi UK has announced details and pricing on the series production version of the facelifted SUV. On sale now, the 2011 Outlander with the Evo-like snout is offered with two turbo diesel engines, a new Mitsubishi-developed 175HP 2.2 Di-D matched to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 154HP 2.2 Di-D turbo diesel SST PSA unit combined with a twin clutch automated manual transmission.

For the first time in Britain, Mitsubishi is also presenting a two-wheel drive diesel variant of the Outlander which is available only with the 175HP unit that returns a combined fuel economy of 46.3mpg UK compared to 43.5 mpg UK of the equivalent 4WD model.

Prices, including 17.5% VAT and the delivery costs but not Government Road Fund Licence and First Registration Fee, start from £21,549 for the base model with the 154HP diesel and 4WD.

Mitsubishi UK Releases Prices for ASX Small Crossover autos 2010: Mitsubishi’s UK arm has announced pricing and specification of its all-new urban crossover vehicle, the ASX. Set to go on sale on July 1, the Japanese automaker’s Nissan Qashqai rival will be offered with a choice of two engines, a 115HP 1.6-liter petrol matted to a 5-speed manual, and a 147HP 1.8-liter turbo diesel linked to a 6-speed manual transmission.

The petrol model is available exclusively with front-wheel drive while the diesel can also be specified with an AWC electronically controlled 4×4 system. Pricing ranges from £14,999 to £22,049 (see list for details).

Standard equipment on all variants includes alloy wheels, air conditioning, Automatic Stop & Go, Active Stability Control and Traction Control, aux-in jack, keyless entry, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, dual stage front side and curtain airbags, driver’s knee airbag, tilt and telescopic steering column.

“We’re targeting customers who would traditionally buy a C-segment car, such as the VW Golf and Ford Focus, but also people looking to down-size from their SUV or family estate car,” said Mitsubishi’s Managing Director, Lance Bradley. “With the ASX you really do get the best of every world.”

2011 Mitsubishi Outlander autos prices from £25,999: Mitsubishi’s UK division has released detailed pricing for its recently updated Outlander crossover, which boasts a newly designed front fascia that brings it in line with the brand’s latest models as well as a number of new features including the availability of the twin-clutch Sports Shift Transmission SST.

The first derivative of the refreshed Outlander to arrive in the UK will be a Special Edition variant, the “Juro” which will be available from 1st July, while the rest of the range will go on sale in October.

The Outlander Juro will be offered exclusively with a 2.2-liter DI-D turbo diesel engine with pricing set at £25,999 for the manual version and £27,199 with SST.

Pricing and details for the rest of the 2011 Outlander range will be published in October.

Mitsubishi Outlander GT 2010 Auto: Most noticeable is the EVO-styled front grille, however, there are several other minor changes to update the Outlander to GT status. For starters there’s a revised 3.5-liter V6 with 230-hp and 215 ft-lbs of torque mated to a new six-speed automatic tranmission also results in improved fuel economy numbers, but the big-for-its-class Outlander still doesn’t get good results. At best Outlander models are rated at 21/27 mpg (city/highway) with the AWD V6 GT rated at just 18/24 mg.

What really sets the GT trim apart, however, is the addition of Mitsu’s Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) system to deliver improved performance. The system comes with three settings, including Tarmac, Snow and Lock, for AWD grip to suit each situation.

Other GT trim highlights include standard 18-inch wheels, Bi-Xenon headlights and a 710-watt audio system.
