Latest priced for 2012 Nissan Versa Sedan Cars – All photos & reviews for 2012 Nissan Versa Sedan: While it may not be the car most dream to own, the low $10,990 ($11,750 including destination) entry level price tag of the 2012 Nissan Versa sedan seems to have piqued the interest of U.S. buyers looking for a cheap new ride.

According to data released by Nissan today, in August, the first full month of availability of the new Versa sedan, the subcompact model sold of 8,566 units beating all of its theoretical competitors, including the Chevrolet Aveo, Ford Fiesta, Honda Fit, Hyundai Accent, Mazda 2 and the soon to be replaced, Toyota Yaris.

“We launched the new Versa Sedan from a position of strength, with Versa holding a substantial lead in sub-compact sales for the 2011 calendar year, and August sales up 14.9% over the previous year,” said Al Castignetti, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division, Nissan North America.

“The launch has been seamless with ample inventory arriving in dealerships and our new marketing just kicking in this month, we’re looking forward to Versa’s sales winning streak to continue for a long time to come,” added Castignetti.

Nissan Micra DIG S 2011 With new price in UK – Latest photos & review of Nissan Micra DIG S 2011: The new Nissan Micra DIG-S -which stands for “Direct Injection Gasoline – Supercharged”- is available to order in UK with on-the-road prices starting at £11,500. First deliveries will take place on September 1.

The new version of the Micra, which was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March, is powered by a 1.2-liter three-cylinder supercharged gasoline engine delivering an output of 98HP.

According to Nissan, the new powerplant “offers the performance of a bigger petrol engine with the fuel economy of a diesel”.

Nissan’s claims are supported by the 68.9 mpgUK (57.36 mpg US or 4,09 lt/100 km) and 95 g/km CO2 emissions of the base Visia edition, while for the better-equipped and thus heavier Acenta and Tekna, the respective numbers are 65.7 mpg UK (54.7mpg UK or 4.3 lt/100 km) and 99 g/km.

The DIG-S engine operates on the Miller Cycle, where the inlet valve stays open longer. Along with a high compression ratio, direct injection, variable timing control with eco mode, specially shaped pistons and auto stop-start system, the Micra DIG-S offers increased fuel efficiency and exemption from UK road tax and congestion charges.

The DIG-S Micra costs £1,000 more than the equivalent non-supercharged version and is available with a five-speed manual gearbox. The basic Visia version costs £11,150, the Acenta £12,150 and the Tekna £13,650. Buyers can opt for a CVT auto transmission, which adds another £1,000 to the price.

Nissan Offers 3 Years of Free Service for Nissan 2011MY GT-R in the UK – Latest photos & info Nissan 2011MY GT-R cars in UK: Pit stops for new owners of the 2011 GT-R in the United Kingdom will become a far more enjoyable chore as Nissan is offering a three-year servicing plan, along with three years RAC cover.

The Japanese automaker said the free service plan is offered to those purchasing a 2011MY GT-R through Nissan’s own personal contract plan (PCP) known as Preferences. Buyers that opt to finance their car in any other way as well as current owners of the 2011MY GT-R, are offered the option to purchase the servicing plan for £499 (equal to US$899 or €567).

As always, there are a few catches with the servicing plan applying only to the 2011 version of the GT-R and covering a three-year period or up to 27,000 miles (about 43,400 kilometers) whichever comes first.

Nissan said that all labour, parts, oils and fluids required to carry out the routine maintenance by a Nissan High Performance Centre, are fully covered by the policy.

Those interested in the deal should be aware that the Japanese automaker plans to keep the offer on the table only for a limited period of time.

Nissan 370Z GT Edition Launches in Britain with price US$56,800 – Latest photos & info for Nissan 370Z GT Edition 2011: Following its European presentation in March, Nissan has announced the UK introduction of the new 2011 370Z GT Edition, which is available for order now with first deliveries expected during the first week of June.

The new GT model is based on the European market 2011 370Z adding bespoke styling and equipment features to the mix.

As a reminder, Nissan updated the European market version of the 370Z for 2011 with changes to the suspension, the underbody insulation and to the optional seven-speed automatic transmission that gains a snow mode.

The GT Edition, which is priced from £35,000 (about US$56,800) in Britain, comes with special side stripes in a nod to the 1970s and the original Z model, and standard 19inch RAYS forged alloy wheels finished in a dark anthracite color. It is available in three body hues, Pearl White, Kuro (metallic) black and Black Rose, with the latter shade being exclusive to the 370Z GT Edition.

The GT Edition also benefits from added features such as the rear view parking camera, which comes as part of the Premium Connect satellite navigation system, and the fitment of a tire pressure monitoring system.

Nissan Tiida Dig Turbo 2012 at Shanghai Auto Show – Latest photos & info of Nissan Tiida 2012: It won’t be long before Nissan takes the wraps of the North American market 2012 Versa, but the Japanese company offered us our first glimpse of the sub-compact model with the reveal of the new Tiida hatchback at the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show today.

As some of you may already know, the Versa is sold in numerous markets around the world under the Tiida nameplate.

The new generation of Nissan’s best selling model sports a swoopier exterior design with some styling references to the pure-electric Leaf. The fluid theme is carried over to the interior with a floating center cluster. The Japanese company also promises improved passenger space thanks to the 100mm (3.9-in.) longer wheelbase.

Nissan has not yet released detailed information on the powertrain lineup, but the company said the Tiida will be offered with a turbocharged four-cylinder unit while transmission options will include a CVT.

The Chinese-market version of the new sub-compact model will be produced in the Dongfeng Nissan Huadu Plant in Guangzhou, with domestic sales to start in May 2011. Nissan said that following its introduction in China, the Tiida will be launched in approximately 130 countries around the world by 2014.

Nissan Updates 2011 370Z in Europe, latest info of  Nissan 370Z 2011 autos: With all the attention (rightfully) focused on the new Esflow pure-electric sports coupe concept at the Geneva Motor Show, Nissan’s announcement on the presentation of the updated for European market 370Z Coupe slipped by almost unnoticed.

For the new model year, Nissan introduces a number of suspension, transmission and equipment improvements for the entire 370Z Coupe range while also adding a new trim level to the range called the GT Edition

Starting with the performance upgrades, the 370Z Coupe benefits from retuned dampers which promise to provide a better balance between ride comfort and high-speed handling. Nissan said that due to the higher average speeds regularly enjoyed in Europe, technicians from Nissan Technical Centre Europe (NTCE) engineered these changes.

For 2011, refinement is also enhanced through revisions to underbody insulation to reduce road noise.

The optionally available seven-speed automatic transmission gains a snow mode which, when applied, starts the car off in second gear and controls engine revs to prevent wheel spin on ice or snow.

Equipment upgrades come in the form of a new rear view-parking camera as part of the Nissan Premium Connect satellite navigation option and the standard fitment of a tire pressure monitoring system.

Wrapping up the changes for 2011, is the introduction of a GT Edition for the Coupe model. Buyers can choose from three different body colors – metallic black, pearl white and Black Rose, the latter shade being exclusive to the GT Edition, with each featuring contrasting stripes running along the flanks of the car. The exterior is set off by the standard 19inch RAYS forged alloy wheels, which are finished in a dramatic anthracite color and replace the standard 18-inch rims.

Nissan Micra DIG S 2011, Nissan Micra DIG S 2011 Super Clean Micra DIG-S Turbo with CO2 Emissions of just 95 g/km, With CO2 emissions of only 95 g/km, Nissan’s all-new Micra DIG-S has one of the cleanest petrol engines in the world.

To achieve this, the Japanese firm’s engineers used a 1.2-liter three-cylinder unit fitted with a supercharger and direct injection, which can be coupled either to a manual transmission or a CVT automatic gearbox.

The powerplant uses the Miller cycle and with a peak output of 98HP and 142 Nm (105 lb-ft) of torque, it’s said to be on par with a conventional 1.5-liter four-cylinder unit. Other technical highlights include the 13:1 compression ratio that increases combustion efficiency, the reduced heat, friction and pumping losses thanks to fewer moving parts, and advanced engine management systems with Start/Stop feature and energy regeneration capabilities.

When equipped with a manual transmission, the entry-level trim grade of the Micra DIG-S can hit a top speed of 180 km/h (112 mph), while returning estimated fuel consumption of 4.1 lt/100 km (57.4 US mpg) on the combined cycle with 95 g/km of CO2.

Manual variants with higher trim levels (Acenta and Tekna) emit 99 g/km due to the added equipment. The CVT version is the least efficient of the pack, but with CO2 emissions of 115 g/km is still a proper tree hugger’s car.

Depending on market, the Micra DIG-S is also exempt from road tax and/or congestion charges and customers can benefit from further tax breaks and governmental incentives.

Nissan will showcase the DIG-S at the Geneva Motor Show in March with European sales set to debut this summer. It will be only available in a five-door body style and with three trim levels. Besides the supercharged engine, the Japanese automaker is offering an 80HP 1.2-liter naturally aspirated variant as well.

Nissan Leaf EV 2011, Price Nissan Leaf EV Debuts in Japan: With the 2011 Car of the Year Award secured, Nissan is rolling out the Leaf EV starting from Japan. The zero-emission electric hatch will go on sale in Japan on December 20th, followed shortly after by the U.S., while European customers will have to wait until later in 2011.

The base price in Japan has been set at 3,764,250 yen (US $45,000 at today’s exchange rates), with the consumption tax included. That’s a lot of money, but, fortunately for the Japanese, the EV is eligible for a 780,000-Yen government incentive, which brings down the cost to 2,984,250 yen or US $35,677.

It’s also fully exempt from the country’s automobile acquisition tax and weight tax until fiscal year 2011. And that’s not all: as an EV that complies with the “Automobile Green Tax Scheme”, the Leaf’s automobile tax is reduced by 50% for a period of 12 months.

Nissan prepared a few convenient after-sales services as well. For a monthly rate of 1,500 yen (US $18), the company offers a “zero-emission support program”, which includes, among other things, maintenance, charging at Nissan dealers, discounts for Nissan rent-a-car services and emergency support.

Dealers can also provide a “one-stop service” simplifying the purchasing process and the preparation of a charging environment at the client’s residence.

Nissan says that, thanks to its 2,200-strong dealer network, there’s at least one quick-charge unit available within a 40-kilometer (25-mile) radius throughout the country. With a minimum range that’s at least four times that, the Leaf can be used as any other car, including for cross-country trips.

The base 370Z Coupe starts at US$30,610, while US$37,520 will get you in the Roadster model. The more potent Nismo 370Z is priced at US$49,990. All MSRPs exclude destination and handling fees.Being that the latest Z was only just introduced in 2009, changes for the 2011MY are limited to new color options and added content. More specifically, the 2011 370Z Coupe and Roadster with the 332-hp 3.7-liter V6 benefit from a new Gun Metallic finish and the addition of RearView Monitor to the optional Navigation Package. Enhancements for the 350HP 2011 Nismo 370Z are limited to one new exterior color, Gun Metallic.

Nissan GT-R EGOIST 2011: Together with the presentation of the standard, SpecV and Club Track variants of the once again facelifted GT-R in Japan today, Nissan also released a new bespoke edition of its supercar named “EGOIST”.

Crafted to cater the needs of those seeking more exclusivity and luxury, the Egoist combines bits and pieces from the SpecV such as the carbon fiber wing, Rays alloy wheels and titanium exhaust, with premium materials and special equipment inside.

The Egoist’s cabin is trimmed entirely in leather with quilted seating surfaces and customers can choose from four different colors for the upper area and 10 for the lower area. And if it makes you feel better, the leather bits are hand-made by a company in Germany.

And how much will the Egoist cost Japanese buyers, we hear you ask? The answer is 15,000,300 Yen (~ US$184,500), or close to twice the price of the base model which starts at 8,694,000 Yen (~ USD106,900) in Japan.

2011 Nissan Rogue Receives Subtle Facelift: Having being on the market since 2007, it’s time for Nissan to give its Rogue compact crossover a mid-life facelift. Revealed ahead of the crossover’s first public outing this Staurday at the 23rd Annual International Z Car Convention in Nashville, the refreshed Rogue features new styling elements and equipment upgrades, while retaining the same mechanical hardware.

On the outside, the 2011 Rogue gets a restyled grille and a more sculptured front bumper. The crossover also benefits from different front and rear spoilers, chrome side door guard molding trim accents, new front and rear tire deflectors and a chrome license plate finisher plus new alloy wheel options.

Even the Rogue continues to be powered by the same 170-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine linked to an Xtronic CVT, thanks to the new low rolling resistance tires and an under-body cover, fuel economy has improved by 1 mpg for both Highway driving (FWD models) and City (AWD models). The new EPA estimates are 22/28 mpg City/Highway for the FWD Rogue and 22/26 mpg City/Highway for the AWD model.

For the 2011 model year, the Rogue will be offered in two trim levels, S and SV, along with the special edition Rogue S Krom that comes with a unique front grille and rear fascia, center-exit sport-tuned exhaust and 18-inch alloy wheels. Details on pricing will be released closer to the launch date in mid-August.

2011-Nissan-X-Trail

2011 Nissan X Trail: You’re looking at the refreshed Japanese domestic market [JDM] version of the Nissan X-Trail, a compact SUV model sold in Europe, Japan and other parts of the world but not in the States. For the 2011MY, there’s the subtlest of design tweaks, mainly to the front end and the interior, plus a new diesel version and equipment upgrades.

On the outside, the JDM 2011 X-Trail gains a redesigned front grille, front bumper and headlights, along with a reworked rear bumper and new LED tail lamps. There’s also a new model called ‘X-Tremer’ boasting unique bumpers and alloy wheels.

In the interior, the X-Trail is spruced up with a redesigned instrument panel featuring larger dials and a new information display system, fresh colors and additional standard features.

For the first time since its introduction in 2008, the diesel-powered X-Trail 20GT will be available with a new 6-speed automatic transmission. The 2.0-liter diesel unit produces 170-horsepower and 360Nm / 265 lb-ft of peak torque. Furthermore, Nissan has introduced a new an “Advanced Hill Descent Control” fitted with a speed-setting function.

The 2011 X-Trail goes on sale in Japan on July 16, with prices ranging from 2,239,650 yen to 3,139,500 yen [US$25,700-36,000].

Nissan did not say if any of these changes will pass on to the European market version of the X-Trail.
