BMW Announces Prices of 2011 BMW 5-Series: Today, BMW released U.S. pricing for its all-new 2011 5-Series saloon that will be offered in two flavors in the States, the 535i powered by a 300HP single turbo straight-six and the 550i with a new twin-turbocharged V8 producing 400 ponies. Both feature BMW’s new 8-speed automatic transmission as standard, while a six-speed manual gearbox is available as an option. Surprisingly, BMW dropped prices for both variants of the new 5-Series over the equivalent versions of the previous generation model.
